UAS Electronic Engineer (Staff Grade) – West Wales

UAVE Ltd is seeking a UAS Electronic Engineer to join our small, dynamic team in West Wales, reporting to the Chief Engineer. This Staff-grade role is ideal for an engineer with 2–5 years' experience, offering genuine career progression for a science-led, commercially minded individual.

Suitably qualified at degree or HND level, or through a formal apprenticeship scheme, you will contribute to UAS systems design and integration, PCB and electronic subsystem design, wiring loom design and installation, supply chain coordination, and production reporting. You will also represent the company at trade events and with clients. Proficiency with PCB and wiring loom design tools is essential, alongside adherence to our QMS and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 principles.

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per year, plus NEST pension and 25 days holiday.
Hours: 0830 – 1630, Monday to Friday.

Projects Manager – West Wales

UAVE Ltd is seeking an experienced Projects Manager reporting to the Managing Director. This hands-on, commercially focused role sits at the very coal face of every project we undertake — aircraft production, aircraft charter and payload engineering contracts.

You will coordinate and assign internal human and equipment resources, plus external subcontractors and supplier subcontracts, on a forward-planning daily, weekly and monthly basis. Responsibilities include QMS adherence, formal report writing, participation in regular client project reporting meetings, and staff assessment and appraisal. Familiarity with project planning tools is essential.

Candidates must have 5+ years' experience within a UAS, robotics or high-technology UK company, with demonstrable team management skill. Suitably qualified at degree or HND level, or through a formal apprenticeship scheme.

This is a full-time, office-based role requiring flexible UK travel, including long days, and infrequent international travel.

Salary: £42,000 – £52,000 per year, plus NEST pension and 25 days holiday.
Hours: 0830 – 1630, Monday to Friday.

Software / Coding Engineer (Staff Grade) – West Wales

UAVE Ltd is seeking a Software / Coding Engineer to join our small, dynamic team in West Wales, reporting to the Chief Engineer. This Staff-grade role is ideal for a degree-qualified engineer with a minimum of 2 years' industry experience.

The primary focus is developing new code to support the implementation of diverse payloads on our aircraft, ensuring full integration with the holistic UAS across both aircraft and ground station contexts. You will work with digital translations and data sharing protocols including serial, IP and CANbus, and develop software in Python, C++ and Java, SQL database systems and client portal website interfaces. Code will run across varied platforms, including aircraft companion computers (Raspberry Pi, Arduino), local CPUs and remotely hosted webservers. You will also review and manage legacy code and repositories. A strong command of maths, with familiarity in MatLab and other mathematical modelling tools, is essential.

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per year, plus NEST pension and 25 days holiday.
Hours: 0830 – 1630, Monday to Friday.
